About Brownie

Brownie is one of the original band of abandoned cats we found in the nearby Drava forest. She lived in the remains of a shelter built many years before, she lived alongside up to ten other cats. She is small and therefore was always at the end of the queue for food. Our team took a little extra care to ensure she got enough to eat.
Sadly, before we could trap her, she had four kittens, all of whom were killed by dogs or other predators. She was then caught, taken to a vet to check her health (all good) and be spayed. She was released back to the forest community because we were unable to find her a new home, she lives there in a hole in a tree to this day. She gets regular food and her nest is cared for by our volunteers. Brownie is very aware of her surrounding and will need some patience and quiet time before you will gain her trust, but she so deserves the chance. Our volunteers can stroke her if done softly and quietly. She is a gentle soul.
